A HYMN ON SPRING

Westminster Bridge
March '17

It’s Spring already and the day has grown longer
— longer your smile longer our Love.
We walk hand in hand
over the River. They call it Life
and it’s there and it’s long
and it’s Spring,
our hearts gently tight in a Gordian knot;
no one can take us apart.

Remember. When you come back when I come forth
we’ll have to pick up exactly where we left off.
Don’t ask how, it’s more than certain
like the River running underneath our joined hands —
they call it Life;

firstly, because we have to
secondly (your smile!), cause it’s Spring already.
